Pablo Manavella works at the Institute for Mediterranean and Subtropical Horticulture La Mayora (IHSM, UMA–CSIC) in Málaga, Spain, where he acts as the institute director and also the leader of the Plant small RNAs Biology Lab.
His research focuses on post-transcriptional gene regulation, small RNAs, chromatin dynamics, and 3D genome architecture in plants, integrating molecular biology, functional genomics, and epigenetics.
He previously held a principal investigator position at CONICET (Argentina) and conducted postdoctoral research at the Max Planck Institute for Developmental Biology.
Pablo has published extensively in high-impact journals, and has received multiple international and national awards. He is currently the Editor-in-Chief of The Plant Cell and is actively involved in international scientific leadership.
