The Imaging Facility of the Institute (IFIEB) provides plant-optimised high-end light microscopy instrumentation and expertise for demanding applications in plant biology research. IFIEB vision is to enable non-invasive advanced fluorescence microscopy under near-natural conditions, offering instrumentation that spans a broad range of spatiotemporal resolutions.

IFIEB services include consultation on experimental design, assistance with sample preparation, data acquisition, image analysis, and interpretation of results. IFIEB also organises several courses dedicated to plant imaging. Together, these activities ensure sustained support for complex plant-biology imaging projects while continuously expanding our methodological portfolio and developing custom solutions tailored to the specific needs of plant research.

IFIEB provides open access to advanced imaging technologies, professional services, training, and data processing expertise as part of the Czech-BioImaging infrastructure. It also serves as part of the Prague Node of the Euro-BioImaging infrastructure, which offers open access to a broad range of state-of-the-art biological and medical imaging technologies across Europe.
