Why to acknowledge IF IEB?

Acknowledging the IEB Imaging Facility in your work provides a clear, visible measure of how our services have enabled your research. Funding agencies rely on such acknowledgements to track usage metrics and has an impact on future support. By crediting the IEB Imaging Facility, you help ensure that we can maintain and upgrade our microscopes, software and support personnel for the benefit of the entire research community, while keeping our user fees low.

Please note that any published or presented work that results from use of Facility services without the required acknowledgement will be subject to full cost recovery for those services.

When to acknowledge?

Please, include an acknowledgement whenever you have used any of our microscopes or benefited from our image-analysis and visualization pipelines and custom scripts.

 If an IEB staff member contributes substantial intellectual input beyond routine technical assistance, such as experimental design, methods development or data interpretation, we kindly ask that you consider offering co-authorship in addition to the standard acknowledgement.

Where to acknowledge?

Acknowledgements to the IEB Imaging Facility belong in all formal and informal outputs that present Facility-generated data. This includes peer-reviewed journal articles, preprints, theses, conference presentations and posters, as well as internal reports or public outreach materials in which you display images or results produced with our support.
