The Plant cultivation platform /PCP/ is a horticulture core laboratory of the Institute of Experimental Botany CAS. The newly constructed greenhouse /2025/ together with external greenhouses and cultivation boxes and growth rooms raised need to control, monitor and manage these facilities properly.
The Plant cultivation platform is therefore dedicated to offer excellent services in plant cultivation (growth conditions, pest and climate control and technology management). Our final goal is the ultimate satisfaction of scientific teams across all research topics (see diversity of the UEB laboratories). The PCP is thus focused on the highest plant/tissue quality and better traceability of climatic conditions. By application of basic horticulture principles, less invasive /less toxic/ but integrated pest management and via uniform growth conditions we want to eliminate all unnecessary stressors negatively impacting plant development and growth. Creating new rules and guidelines for facility users is another step how to improve the performance for all. End note: We believe that all scientists should keep almost intimate relationship with their plants to get even better results. Realistic doubts are always better than „doubt-free“ status of anonymously obtained plants. Feel free and visit us ANYTIME in the new greenhouse to discuss all doubts, share knowledge and mainly meet with “your” plants.
